What I Want to Hear from Joe Wilson

Nevertheless...

Joe Wilson, a freshman Representative from South Carolina broke the cardinal rule of Congress Wednesday: He spoke the truth.

Now, was it perhaps a little obnoxious of him? Probably. But when someone is breaking into your house with a machine gun, do you stand there and yell at your kid for not taking out the trash? I'm sick and tired of the Left assuming that they're the be-all end-all of the universe and that only crazy loons disagree with them. The idea that someone would dare to get in their face never crosses their minds. They're so arrogant, they can't imagine that someone might disagree. And those who do disagree are the lunatic fringe who carry Nazi signs everywhere they go and burn crosses on people's front lawns.

Remember when Bush gave his addresses, and the booing was heard 'round the world? For some reason it's a cardinal sin now for their endless applause to be interrupted by a little dissension in the ranks.

Joe Wilson apologized for his outburst to the President, and he thinks that's enough: "I’ve apologized one time. The apology was accepted by the president, the vice president. … I am not apologizing again,” he told FOX News Sunday. “I believe that is sufficient.”

It's said that while Galileo grudgingly renounced his findings that the earth moved around the sun when he was forced to, he muttered under his breath, "Nevertheless, it moves."

So if Joe is dragged to the brink and must apologize, here's what I want to hear from him:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I shouldn't have yelled 'You lie!' at the President during his address....Nevertheless, he lied."
