Will We Destroy the Republican Party?

Since Hoffman lost (that was the risk of endorsing him - even though he was a long shot either way, once he lost it was proof of conservatism's, and thus Sarah Palin's, failure), I've read dozens of articles and suffered through countless talking heads spouting off about how the party is doomed if we follow Limbaugh and Palin.

We haven't moved. They have. The party is doomed because they're hanging themselves. Conservatives are just standing on the sidelines screaming, "What are you doing?! Stop it! This is suicide!" We are people of conscience. We will compromise when necessary, but the GOP is compromising itself into nothing.

Republicans in Congress now claim to be all against Obamacare and everything else. Well, guess what? I don't buy it for a minute. They may be good people, but the fact is that they lost my trust over the last eight years, and if they want it back they're going to have to earn it. I'll not give them power again until I know that they're sincere and will use it the right way and for the right reasons. Until then, if it means keeping the Dems in power, so be it.

I don't think the GOP has learned its lesson yet, and putting them back into power until they have will accomplish exactly nothing.

So, will we destroy the Republican party? If we have to.

I hope the Republican party does wise up and become the party of conservatism again. If it doesn’t, it will die. Maybe Republicanism just has to be closer to death for Palin, Limbaugh, Bachmann, Beck, and other conservatives to resuscitate it.

Re: “Palin’s failure” in NY-23
I was sad after McCain/Palin lost and all the experts said Palin’s fifteen minutes of fame were up. Then the (bogus) ethic complaints made her politically dead for sure. After that, Levi and his stories were nails in her coffin - her reported divorce clearly ended her. Then, she was assuredly dead when she resigned as governor; all the experts agreed on that one. Of course, she was absolutely finished with that over the top ‘death panel’ posting. . . .

Somewhere around that point I stopped listening to political experts about Sarah Palin. She doesn’t follow their rules.

LOL! I just got a picture in my head of all the liberals beating the snot out of her with no effect - "Why. Won't. You. Die!"

Hey, did you ever try waiting to see if that comment link popped up?

Here's what I'm talking about:

Bill589,

Hope you get this.

Is your computer slow? If so, it could take awhile for another link to pop up. I'll come up below the labels and above the "subscribe to post" thingy. Click on that, and you should get a pop-up window with the comments in it. It could take awhile to load, depending on how slow your computer is. On dial-up, I just let it sit for awhile and come back, but it should appear.

Looks like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_JQPcoXxz0dM/Su-I3e8gSlI/AAAAAAAAAvc/SwJrv_N2koY/s1600-h/jskit.bmp

If that doesn't work, I don't know what the problem is.

On the C4P page, when I click on the “Comments (36)” link, nothing happens but a javascript: void (0) message appears on the bottom of the screen. I think my computer is a liberal.

Uffda, thank you so much for your help. You make my day just by caring. When the “js-kit” page loads, it says there are errors on the page; I think the js-kit doesn’t load properly and that this is the problem. I have a knowledgeable friend that will stop by one of these days. I believe she can help.

I enjoy what YOU write. Keep it up for Sarah and the USA. I’ll always remember and appreciate your concern. Don’t worry about me; I’ll feel comfortable asking you for help someday if I need it, but for now, with my friend’s help I should be back inside C4P soon. We “ordinary barbarians” never give up.

All right, hang in there.
